Hi. I’m a sculptor, printmaker and illustrator with a recent degree in Fine Art. I live in Falmouth, Cornwall and I spend a lot of time looking over Falmouth Bay, Carrick Roads and the Penryn River. All of these places are full of boats of various sizes and ages. I used to own and sail a beautiful gaff cutter called Biddy which was made in 1908. These days I go kayaking and stay much nearer to the water surface and the sharks.
So the sea and boats are constant companions.
I have volunteered for the National Maritime Museum Cornwall ever since I arrived in this beautiful part of the world 11 years ago. This blog will be a record of the preparations for the sculpture exhibition I will put on in the NMMC in 2016.
Besides kayaking I like to walk with friends in remote places. Our favourite is the Lake District in Cumbria but we have explored Portugal, The Pyrenees, Corsica, Madeira, Morocco, La Gomera, Nepal and southern Spain.
